Did you know that in South Korea, people there are tech crazy? Or did you know that Sweden has really fast internet. Well put those two together. South Korea is spending $1.7 billion for a 5G network. Crazy! The ministry of science says, “We helped fuel national growth with 2G services in the 1990s, 3G in the 2000s and 4G around 2010. Now it is time to take pre-emptive action to develop 5G,”
The plan is, to create a trial 5G service which will be rolled out in 2017 and a fully commercial service in December 2020. Now I think that over the years, the next generation of mobile phones is becoming more in demand. 4G or LTE went popular. Now, when 5G comes out it is going to be really popular. Priority will be given to developing key features for the new network, including ultra-HD, hologram transmission and cutting-edge social networking services.
South Korea’s government claims that the new generation of mobile technology is 1000 times faster than 4G, but that can not be verified. Though 5G technology might download a 800MB file in a second!
In my opinion, this is amazing and it will revolutionise the world. Though how much faster will technology get after 5G? A picosecond (Believe me, it actually exists. Smaller than a millisecond)?
That’s all I have folks. See you Monday! Mekul
