Rumour Time: iPhone 6

Credit: Dani Yako

Rumours, rumours, rumours. We have all made one. Well, rumours on Apple just keep on coming.

First, a new report from a Chinese website, IT168, says that the iPhone 6 will have a 10 megapixel camera with improved filter and a wider aperture. Nice.

Along with the 10 megapixel camera, the iPhone might also have interchangeable resin lenses created by the Japanese company, JSR. This might be true as Apple has a patent for swappable camera lenses. See below.

The new iPhone also might do NFC, and it’s about time. The new iPhone also might have an Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide – or ‘IGZO’ display. It will offer ‘higher reaction’ speed, which will be good for gamers.

Apple also has made a patent for wireless charging. Wireless charging! You must be dreaming! But Apple just makes patents for anything that comes out of their minds. Who knows? It could come with the new iPhone!

Thanks for reading. I will post more rumours soon, for the iPad.

What a surprise. Ok, not to the apps UI is updated to iOS 7. More and more apps are doing that. But 50GB of free cloud storage is amazing! But put the exciting news to the end.

Box has revamped the app’s UI to iOS 7 and it looks really good. Nothing has changed, just the UI. Have a look at the photos. Off topic, most people actually dislike the UI of iOS 7. People like iOS 6’s UI. Personally, I like iOS 7 UI because I think Apple has gone for a different approach to their style. Here are some screenshots of Box from the App Store.Box Screenshot 2

iOS 7 Jailbreak released! [Update]

So as you probably read yesterday, there was a jailbreak for iOS 7 released yesterday. If you didn’t, well here is a recap. The hack is called evasi0n7, and it is compatible with iPhones, iPods and iPads running from iOS 7 to 7.0.4.

Now some more info. Apparently, the evad3rs only released evasi0n7 because Chinese pirating company, Taig, paid the evad3rs $1,000,000 US to put Taig in by default. But now that’s changed because, simply, the evad3rs released evasi0n7 because the team didn’t want any other teams to release their jailbreak for Apple to fix.

Now, if you don’t know how to jailbreak your device. Here it is.

What you’ll need:

An iDevice

A Mac or PC

The Mekul Difficulty:

Step 1: Download evasi0n7 for Windows/Mac on evasi0n.com

Step 2 PC: Extract the download onto your desktop and open the evasi0n folder. Right click on the evasi0n.exe file and select Run as administrator.

Step 2 Mac: Double click the app.

Step 3: Make sure your device passcode is disabled, if you ever set one up.

Step 4: Plug in your iDevice to your PC/Mac.

Step 5: You should see a message on the tool that it has detected your device, and the Jailbreak button should brighten up a bit and you can click on it.

Step 6: To begin the jailbreak process, click that button and sit back.

Step 7: You’ll be asked to tap the evasi0n7 icon on your device’s Home screen at some point, which will complete the process.

Step 8: Once the jailbreak process has completed, you’ll be taken to your Lock screen. From there, you can Slide to unlock your device and where you’ll find the Cydia icon on your Home screen’s second page. When you click on Cydia, it will prepare the file system, reboot, and open Cydia up again and it will resume like normal.

Note that there are quite a few bugs in Cydia and with the jailbreak. Only some tweaks and apps work. Here is a list.

FireWall iP
Icon Renamer
ShakeToUndo Killer
Signal 2
Signal Booster
Software Update Killer

Well, if you did jailbreak your iDevice, enjoy.

Merry Christmas

I came across this on InsanleyiOS and I clicked on it immediately. I am no geek at computers though everyone asks for my help for anything related to the computer. Guess what? Let me know what what score you got in the comments.

Apple airs Christmas ad

Well it is December which means it’s coming up to Christmas. Apple has started airing this Christmas ad. The ad shows off it’s AirPlay feature with the Apple TV. What happens is a teen visits his family and films various occasions like tobogganing (filming in slow-mo), playing in the snow, etc. and then shows it to his family.

Apple hasn’t done something like this in a while other than the iPhone 4s ad which features Santa and Siri.

What do you think?
