The Best Gaming Computers recommended by Mekul

Hello! Mekul is back with another post, which today I am writing about, the best Computers for Gaming! Now, all of these are not going to be cheap and cheerful, but the last one, I will try to give a cheep but relatively good for gaming.

The Pacstar Gaming/Video Editing Pro 2014

This computer has an excellent Intel Core i7-4770. It has 8GB RAM, a Samsung/Sandisk 120GB SSD SATA III for hard drive (though on the website, it says it also has a Toshiba/WD/SEAGATE 2TB, sounds better!). For a not well known brand, it actually sounds quite good since it has all those features, Windows 8.1, but you might want Windows 7. It will cost $1,499 and it is recommended by APC magazine.

Mekul’s rating: 8/10. It would be good if you could downgrade to Windows 7.

Dell Alienware Aurora R4

If you know nothing about computers and I said ‘Alienware’, would you be scared? Well, you should be scared of the Intel Core i7-4820, with 16GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, Windows 7 Home Premium. An Alienware Standard Optical Mouse is included in the price, but for an extra $88, you can get a Alienware TactX mouse. To keep the CPU cool, the R4 uses liquid to keep it cool. What I like about it is that it comes with Windows 7 Home Premium and I know some people don’t like Windows 8. If you really want to you can get Windows 8.1. There is software designed for the R4 like customising the colour of the lights on the R4 and more. There are customisable options available on Dell’s website with the R4 like different models of the Core i7, chassis, graphics card, etc. The R4 starts at $1,998.99.

Mekul’s Rating: 10/10. If you are super serious about gaming, this is for you.

iMac 27″ Desktop A Mac is not always considered a gaming computer, more well known as an all in one. Though, with a Core i5 4670, maybe you’ll think again. 8GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 775M. It is configurable to a 3.5GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 which if you are really serious about gaming, this is for you but the Core i5 is still great. It comes with OS X Mavericks with built in apps such as iWork and iLife. This is also family friendly and can be used for other things than gaming.

Mekul’s Rating: 9/10. It is pretty cool and a wide screen is a pro.

iBuypower Revolt A960 This is a very compact computer full with lots of goodies. 8GB RAM, AMD A10 6800k, Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 and a cool lighting system. According to PC Mag, it does well on on 3D games but no so well on Photoshop and CineBench, but hey, we are only looking at gaming here. As I said at the top, I’ll give you a cheap but reasonable gaming computer. Well, at Walmart, you can get it for $700!
